How to Use the Trend to Get Millions of Views on YouTube

In this topic, I will teach you, how to use Trend to make a YouTube video and get hundreds of thousands or even millions of views on YouTube.

And that is through a case study of one of the videos that were created with this idea.

Today we will talk about the announcement by Etisalat Company (the most powerful card in Egypt), which was performed by the actor Mohamed Ramadan.

We will cover more than one example of videos created to simulate this advertisement, and how these videos achieved a large number of views.

One of them reached nearly 2 million views.

What is the link strategy or the exploitation of the trend?

This strategy is based on creating a YouTube video, this video is linked to a popular and successful video. And the link here means a lot of cases.

The link may be imitation, criticism, satire, or even analysis.

The strength of the idea here stems from the fact that the new video gets a portion of the cake (i.e. views) that the main popular video gets.

It appears in the search results because the video title is the same. It also gets the attention and interest of the viewers, which of course stems from their interest in the main video.

This ill become clearer in a little while after we study our example, analyze it and extract the lessons learned from it.

The announcement of the strongest card and the videos that succeeded because of it

For those who do not have knowledge of this ad, it is an advertisement for the Egyptian mobile company Etisalat. This advertisement was performed by actor Mohamed Ramadan.

This advertisement got very popular with people for several reasons, including that this advertisement is an episode in the series of strong competition between the mobile companies Orange, Etisalat, Vodafone and Wii.

In one way or another, a kind of challenge began between the four companies, each of them started making advertisements to the rhythm of popular songs, claiming that they were the best ever.

And one of these announcements is the Etisalat advertisement that we are talking about today.

As you can see, the number of video views to date is 1 million and 890 thousand views.

What made this video get so many views? Of course, because of its association with the original advertisement video.

But in order to make the answer more professional and detailed, let’s look closely at some of the points that distinguish this video. Which you can apply to any other trend, create a linked YouTube video and get millions of views.

Factors for the success of the strategy of exploiting the trend

First, factors found in this video (anatomy of the linked video)

Video title

A title very close to the original video title was used, and this explains the appearance of the video in the fourth result, when you search on YouTube with the phrase “the strongest card in Egypt”

Here you should be careful not to overdo it in making a title that is very similar to the original video title. Although in the example here a title was created very close to the title of the original video, I advise not to overdo it, as it is sufficient to show the idea of ​​the link intelligently.

Video description

In the description here the title was almost repeated, then the original video of the ad was hinted at and a link was placed for it (this is a smart point and it had a role in raising the video’s ranking)

Then all the words that were pronounced were included in the original declaration. In the end, some social media links and the channel link were placed.

Video content

The duration of the video is approximately a minute and a half, which is approximately the same length as the original video.

The same audio content is used as the original video. In my view, this is not a smart option as it might expose the video to deletion due to copyright infringement.

But in any case, this has not happened so far in our example, and it may never happen in our case.

I think that it is in the interest of a telecommunications company to leave the video without deletion, as it represents an advertisement for the company and its products. (this is just an opinion)

Here, the events of the original video are simulated almost identically.

The video appeared to be the poor version of the original ad, and this was exaggerated and this was almost the comedic flavor in the video.

Secondly, other factors for the success of the link strategy

Marketing for the video

Yes, here the main and main element is the link to a popular video, but the marketing component here is also important. Posting the video on social media, and the size of the channel’s subscribers, may make a difference in the success of the video.

Avoid violating the copyright of the original video

You may find this point out of place, but how do you get success and the fate of the video is deleted by YouTube.

In order to create a successful YouTube video from the ground up, you must ensure that it is not subject to deletion by the YouTube administration.

The only way to protect the video, especially in our sensitive case (the strategy of linking to another video) is to avoid copyright infringement.

Offer something worthy of your viewers’ time

For example, you will find that there are other videos that were related to the advertisement video, and they were lighter than the video that we are talking about specifically.
